Stoke Rochford’s April Saturday medal competition was won by Stephen McEwan on a cold and blustery day.
A strong finish of four successive pars was enough to see 22-handicap Stephen triumph with a four under par net total of 66.
Brian White finished one shot further back after his net 67, and Jim Bonshor was third, also with a 67. The lowest gross score went to Nick Watson who shot a two under par round of 68.

The April medal was won by Avis Griffin with net 75, edging out Sheila Dugmore (also 75) with a stronger finish. In third place was Elaine Kirby with 76.
Sue Booth won the Innocent Vase competition with a score of +2. Carol Hamilton was second with a score of -1.
Highlight of the Bring and Win Stableford competition was a hole-in-one at the seventh hole for Jilian Watson which was enough to secure her third place overall. Pam Watson was runner-up, two points behind eventual winner Dorne Werner.

Sudbrook Moor fielded their strongest team in the county inter-club scratch foursomes Elsham Trophy against Belton Park.
Simon Green, Bruce Macfarlane, Rob Keddie, Alex Claricoates, Keith Maclachlan and Martin Corby came out with a creditable eight down scoreline. Keith and Martin halved their match with an exciting back nine.
l Twelve teams of three competed in the Spring Saturday Texas Scramble.
Top prize went to John Came, Andy Stones and Mark Boulton with a score of 6.6 under SSS. Runners-up were Kev Jones, Andy Newman and Paul Brough, with Ian Reah, Mike Coupland and Mike Koranski third.
l The seniors’ April mixed Texas Scramble was won by the team of John Costall, Mike Dyason and Frank Brumpton, ahead of Pete Farmer, Tony Sealey and Bernard Pratt.
l Maurice Green won the seniors’ weekly roll-up overall with 44 stableford points. Runner-up in Category 1-3 was Bob Watson (40) and Steve Squires (42) was best of Category 4.
The twos sweep was shared between Bob Watson and Frank Brumpton. Best Eclectic after four weeks is Tony Rose.
