A teenager was stabbed in the leg on Friday night while he was at a Grantham nightclub.

Chris Atter, 18, was sitting down smoking at the back of Barcode in Westgate when he saw a man get a knife out of his jacket.

He said: “He was showing off to his friend and he sliced my coat. He then handed it to the other guy. He stabbed the knife into my leg and dragged the blade down.

“I couldn’t retaliate because he had a knife.”

Chris left the club to try and get help but he could not walk properly and blood was pouring down his leg.

Police officers found him stumbling along Westgate and he was taken to A&E where he was given stitches.

He said: “I lost about a pint of blood. I can’t walk properly and can’t sleep, it’s quite painful.”

Two men, an 18-year-old and a 22-year-old, were arrested in connection with the incident. They have both been bailed until January 11 pending further enquiries.
