A Neighbourhood Watch group is going the extra mile to make safety a top priority this autumn.

Bingham Safety Fair, promoted by Bingham Neighbourhood Watch, will be a fun day of interactive exhibits centred around keeping yourself protected online and at home.

Organisations including Crimestoppers, Nottinghamshire Police and Age UK will be heading to Bingham Market Place to give free advice about property and internet safety on Saturday, October 5.

Chairman of the organising team Bob Garland said: “This is by far our most ambitious project yet, with a strong partnership feel to it. We’re anticipating a great turnout.”

Other contributors include Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, 1st Access Locksmiths, SURE 24, Victim Support and Vale First Responders. The fair will be officially opened by Paddy Tipping, Nottinghamshire’s police and crime commissioner.
The event is free and will run from 10am to 3pm in a marquee in Market Place.
