A man successfully argued he had not breached his bail conditions when he appeared in court on Monday.
Louis Kidd of Houghton Road is on bail for separate charges but appeared before magistrates charged with breaching conditions which said he could not enter a certain street in Grantham or contact a named woman.
However, the woman contacted the police to say Kidd had visited her home and repeatedly punched her front door.
Rory Macmillan, defending, said: “He emphatically did not go to her address or punch her door, as alleged.”
Magistrates found there was insufficient evidence of the breach.
Kidd was released on conditional bail to return to the court on June 28.
