A 63-year-old was disqualified from driving after he got behind the wheel when twice over the drink-drive limit.
Barry Brooks of High Street, Corby Glen, admitted drink-driving after being stopped by police on the A1.
Brooks came to the attention of the police after they received information from a concerned member of the public who had noticed a strong smell of alcohol and the defendant slurring his words prior to getting into his car.
Brooks was fined £145 and ordered to pay costs of £85, as well as a £20 surcharge.
He was also disqualified from driving for 20 months.
