Cyclists raised close to £7,000 for the St Wulfram’s Save Our Spire campaign at the weekend.
The event was organised by Simon Hopkins of Simon Hopkins Electrical Services in Grantham and saw more than 80 cyclists take part.
He said: “It was a brilliant day and everyone I’ve spoken to said they really enjoyed it. Luckily the weather held out and it only started raining once the ride was finished.”
The event proved so successful Simon has decided to make it an annual fund-raiser.
He said: “Everyone kept asking if we’d be doing it again next year. It hasn’t been easy to organise but now everything is in place we want to keep it going and raise money for another charity next year.”
