Having won the toss and elected to bowl, Croxton soon had the openers back in the pavilion, Richardson and Crossland taking a wicket apiece.
The ship was steadied before Newton was bowled by Wasiuk, with Leon Aylin having Gillett caught by Chris Jeary. Wasiuk finished with 3-51 and Aylin 5-26.
In reply, Croxton lost Clement-Sutcliffe early on but the middle order of Aylin (46), Jeary (27), Richardson (23) and Crossland (20) set about reaching their target.
Wickets fell and, despite a big effort by tailenders Porter and Harrop, the visitors fell four runs short of victory.

Grantham 162-4
A shortened game of 28 overs saw Harlaxton electing to bat, having won the toss.
M. Wren-Kirkham took the early wicket of C. Davidson (10) before a stand of 87 was made between S. Gray (48) and M. Sharp (45). Having broken the partnership, Grantham took four more wickets at regular intervals, with A. Clark taking 3-55 off seven overs.
In reply, Grantham set about their target R. Mathews (84) and D. Ashley running well between the wickets. Mathews was joined at the crease by M. Wing who hit a very quick 30, setting up a winning platform.
Mathews was then ably supported by A. Shaw (17no) before getting out in an unfortunate fashion. Grantham reached target with 15 balls to spare.

Barkby 173-5
After losing the toss Bottesford lost early wickets to some impressive swing bowling from Ian Cooper (2-38).
Opener Dan Robinson batted confidently in making 41 before Lee Fazackerley (52no) provided some powerful hitting. Jack Wilkinson finishing with 3-28.
Barkby’s reply struggled early on but two half centuries ensured victory for the vistors.

Frisby 81
Buckminster 82-0
Buckminster produced a strong all-round performance to earn themselves a 10 wicket victory at Frisby.
Jack Berry (3-30), Alex Forbes (4-30) and Tim Gadsby (3-9) all bowled well to dismiss the home side for 81.
Berry (29no) then joined forces with skipper Dave Allen (49no) to knock off the runs with aplomb.

Division A

Calverton 85-2 (match abandoned)
Olly Clayfield (47) and James Fellows (46) put on 63 before the rain.
Play resumed after a three and three-quarter hour break, with James Clayfield (28no), Lewis Dann (20) and Paul Chadwick (14no) ensuring the last batting bonus point.
In reply, Calverton set off at a good rate with Darren Wright (21) batting very aggressively until he fell to the bowling of persevering Danny Gibson.
Calverton kept up the required run rate but were beaten by poor light at 8.40pm.
