Grantham Athletic Club teenager Josh Brown will represent England at the World Schools Championships in the Czech Republic next month.
Sixteen-year-old Priory Ruskin Academy student Josh has been selected to compete in the 300m hurdles and the high jump.
The competition is for students under the age of 18, with more than 25 countries taking part, including China, Canada, Australia and most of Europe. Josh’s selection is something of an honour as each country’s team is restricted to just six boys and six girls.
The last Lincolnshire athlete to compete in the prestigious event was Vikki Hubbard, who was also a member of Grantham AC, and won a bronze medal in the high jump in 2006.
