A Folkingham businessman has launched campaign group Cure the NHS Lincolnshire in a bid to improve patient safety in Lincolnshire’s hospitals.
Jan Hansen has embarked on the campaign as hospitals face a safety review over higher than expected mortality rates. He aims to ensure patients’ comments are taken into account.
He said: “We want people to share their experiences with us, the good and bad, as it is only in that way that we can help campaign effectively to support our staff working in the NHS to provide the care we know they want to provide.”
Meanwhile, the county’s health scrutiny committee is inviting the campaign group to attend future meetings as observers to see its work first-hand and how hospital chiefs are being held to account.
