A teacher at Harlaxton Primary School has talked about her first experience of running in a marathon in London.
Kirsty Payne, 29, took part in this year’s London Marathon and talked to youngsters in the after school club about it. She took along her medal which runners receive after completing the marathon.
Mrs Payne raised £900 for her chosen charity, the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
She said: “The atmosphere and whole event was quite inspiring. I thought it would be a one-off, but it is very tempting to have another go. I chose the air ambulance because they rely solely on donations and it is a very worthwhile charity.”
