Up to three children under-16 with every paying adult will receive free admission to Grantham Town’s final home game of the season at The Meres today (Saturday).

The Gingerbreads host Marine as they fight to stay in the Northern Premier Division.

Grantham’s plight was helped this week when second to bottom Kendal Town were defeated by Stocksbridge Park Steels on Saturday and Matlock Town on Tuesday night.

The Gingerbreads did nothing to help their own cause by losing 1-0 at Blyth Spartans – a game that joint manager Gary Sucharewycz says they could have won. He said: “We played some of the best football we have seen this season. Three or four really good chances, and if we had got the first goal, I would have fancied us to go on and win the game.”

Kick off this afternoon is 3pm.
