Grantham ended their league campaign with a creditable defeat at the hands of Louth, who became champions as a result of the victory.
Matching their more experienced opponents for large parts of the game, Grantham were nevertheless beaten but at least came away with something when Sam MacAllister scored.
Having earned promotion last year, the Grantham men had already preserved their status in the division for another season last week.
l The club’s annual meeting will be held at The Meres tomorrow (Saturday) at 12.30pm and all members are encouraged to attend.
