Pupils who attend the school where Margaret Thatcher was educated will mark the day of her funeral with reflection and a special presentation.

The day will start at Kesteven and Grantham Girls’ School tomorrow (Wednesday) with pastoral time which will include a thought for the day and a guidance session.

Headteacher Graham Burks said: “Pastoral time will be spent reflecting on our most distinguished old girl who will be remembered

today, both in school and across the globe.

“The school has prepared a simple presentation for the girls and a copy ofthe speech that she provided for the school in 1982, when she unveiled her plaque in our ‘Old Hall’. This provides an appropriate personal insight into her time here with us at KGGS; she reflects on what the school taught her and the values that she continued to pursue throughout her life.

“It will be a sad day for the school.”
