British Council-funded Comenius student exchange project ‘What do you know about us?’ has made its way to Grantham.
Thirteen families with Years 10 and 11 students from West Grantham Academy St Hugh’s hosted 26 students and teachers from Sweden, the Czech Republic and Poland. The exchange took place from March 4-8.
History was the theme of the visit, and students were taken to Belton House and Nottingham Castle to explore the area’s past.
The aim of the project is to develop understanding of European life and cultures and making friends from across the globe.
Academy Principal Louise Bennett said: “We are delighted to again be welcoming friends to the academy and believe that such visits truly enrich the lives of our students.”
