Retired florist Keith Boddy is a well-known face in the town, having spent the past 15 years selling cut flowers, plants and shrubs.
He started off his working life as a painter and decorator before moving on to flowers later in life.
Mr Boddy, 65, had his own shop in Park Road, Grantham, before being based in Quicksave for five years.
For the last five years he has had his own stall in the George Shopping Centre.
He said: “I finished up in the George Centre before retiring but now I just do a few plants and flowers for them at the Conservative Club.”
Mr Boddy should now find more time to indulge his hobby of fishing.
He said: “I like to go when I can but I’m usually busy with the flowers and plants...although I do like to go fishing two or three times a week.
“I’ve had some good catches over the years.”
He was once fishing chairman at what was formerly known as Whatton Detention Centre.
