COCAINE weighing in at 0.92oz was discovered by police when they stopped a car on the A1 at Colsterworth.
The Class A drugs were found in a jacket pocket worn by Steven Ella, of Black Lane, York.
Ella, 27, was one of three males in the car, which was stopped on February 7.
Edward Johnson, prosecuting, said: “He was interviewed. He indicated the cocaine was bought over the weekend in order use personally. He paid the sum of £550 for it.
“He buys it in bulk to get a better deal and gets good cocaine from a dealer he has used for about a year.”
Judith Armstrong, mitigating, told the court Ella is soon to be a father for the second time and had learned his lesson.
Ella, who earns £400-£700 a week, will reappear for sentencing on March 19 following a probation report.
