Business people who are suffering as a result of roadworks in Springfield Road, Grantham, met with politicians on Saturday.
Grantham MP Nick Boles and county councillor Richard Davies met with McDonald’s operations manager Darren Smith, Press Gang owner Libby Simpson and artist David French.
The trio demanded answers to why the roadworks have over-run - and why they were not informed about the works until three days before the start date.
Coun Davies apologised for the “rubbish” communication from Lincolnshire County Council, while Mr Boles said it was unacceptable for utility companies to take so long to resolve problems which have impacted on the town so heavily.
