A charity night to raise money for the family of Danny Walsh will be held later this month at the King’s Hotel in Grantham.
Danny, 30, was killed on July 28 in Grantham and his friend Bradley O’Hara decided he wanted to organise an event to do something to help his loved ones.
The charity boxing night will be held on September 28 from 7.30pm and will feature the screening of the David Haye v Tyson Fury fight with the full fight card live throughout the night.
There will also be a compere and DJ, as well as a large auction and raffle with donations including boxing merchandise from David Haye and Ricky Hatton along with some driving days, pamper days, four tickets to Leicester Tigers, and fine dining at Kelham House Country Manor Hotel. The organisers would still appreciate more auction/raffle prizes/donations.
Bradley said: “The night is to try and raise as much money as we can for Danny’s kids and family. Nothing can replace Danny but a good Christmas full of lots of presents and toys might just dilute a tiny bit of the sorrow. We really would like all the community of Grantham and the surrounding areas to support this charity event – either by attending or donating prizes for the auction/raffle.”
Tickets are £10 each, but if you own a Danny Walsh T-shirt (proof of ownership of T-shirt on payment of ticket is required) then it is £5 a ticket.
Contact Bradley on 07739 310935 for more details, tickets, or to make donations of gifts for the auction/raffle.
