Driving without insurance landed a 40-year-old man with a fine of £600.
Ian Brothwell, of Ermine Street, Ancaster, was stopped by the police while driving a BMW in Manthorpe Road and found to have no insurance.
He was found guilty of the offence in his absence.
Brothwell was fined £600 and must pay £85 costs and a £60 surcharge.
His licence was also endorsed with six penalty points.
