Kesteven and Grantham Girls’ School is celebrating another good set of GCSE results this year, setting a Year 11 record with a quarter of all entries receiving an A* grade.
A total of 99.4% of KGGS students gained five or more A*-C grades, including English and Mathematics and 98% of all entries were awarded A*-C grades.
Headteacher Graham Burks said: “As a selective school we are expected to perform well and with 58% of all GCSE entries being awarded A*/A grades we should once again maintain our position as one of the very highest performing Grammar Schools in Lincolnshire. Sixty-one of our Year 11 have gained 10 or more A*/A grades. Twenty five per cent of all entries were awarded A* which is a best ever for Year 11 this year.”
Mr Burks added: “The students and staff have achieved well and I am delighted for all of them. Their hard work has been rewarded and we now look forward to most but not all of our Year 11 returning to join us in the Sixth Form. They have been a great year group to work with, they deserve our congratulations and I wish every one of them well for the future”.
