A driver suspected of drink-driving who refused to give a specimen for analysis was banned from the roads for 16 months.
David Taylor of Edinburgh Drive, Bingham, was pulled over by police in Harrowby Lane, Grantham, and failed a breath test.
However, when he was taken to Grantham police station Taylor would not co-operate with officers.
Judith Bew, defending, said: “Unfortunately the rapport with the police was somewhat poor from the outset. He says it was not entirely his own fault but they set out on the wrong foot and things continued from bad to worse.”
Taylor admitted the offence. As well as the driving ban, Taylor must pay a £250 fine, £85 costs and a £25 surcharge.
