What better excuse for a lovely holiday abroad than a double ruby wedding.
Terry and Glenys Wing and Carol and Mick Shelton holidayed in Porto Cristo, Majorca, to celebrate their joint 40th anniversary.
The Wings were married in Long Bennington at 2.30pm on July 7, 1973, and the Sheltons at 3pm in Newton.
And they have even more in common. The couples met each other in the maternity unit at Grantham Hospital in 1976.
