The producers of the annual pantomime at the Guildhall in Grantham are looking for youngsters to audition for this year’s show Jack and The Beanstalk.

Polka Dot Pantomimes is looking for an all-singing, all-dancing group of boys and girls with plenty of personality, aged between eight and 18 years of age.

No previous dancing, acting or singing experience is required. The company will be looking to form two or three teams of six to eight children who will alternate days during the run of the pantomime, performing alongside professional actors.

Auditions will take place on Saturday, June 29, at the Guildhall Arts Centre, from 10am to noon. Those who audition must be no younger than eight by September 1, 2013.

Anybody wishing to audition can contact Polka Dot on 01775 712359 and they will be sent an application form, or a form can be picked up at the Guildhall Arts Centre. The pack must be filled in and taken to the audition with a passport size photograph of the child.

Parents must ensure their child’s school is willing to release them for some performances and should seek permission before the audition.
