Classic bike racer Jason Dixon was back in action at Snetterton last weekend.
Jason was disappointed only to qualify his 1,000cc Aprilia in 11th place on the grid for rounds five and six of the Thundersport GB Golden Era race series.
With mixed conditions for race one on Saturday, with one side of the track wet and the other dry, Jason elected to go with wet tyres. He struggled to get the Aprilia off the start line and dropped a few places but managed to salvage fifth by the end of the race.
Slicks were fitted for the second dry race in which Jason picked up fifth place once more.
He had to contend with hailstones in Sunday’s first race and again finished in fifth place. Sixth place in the day’s second race promoted Jason to seventh in the championship.
The next round of the race series will see Jason in action at Cadwell Park at the end of the month.
Jason thanked Mark at Treads To Go for sorting out all his tyre needs.
