We paid for two green bins last year, love the service and don’t agree with paying £50 to have them emptied.
Because of the amount we recycle, compost at home and put in the green bin, our black bin only has two or three carrier bags of rubbish in it each fortnight.
Surely this will mean people like me will fill their (almost empty) black bin with garden waste, which means higher landfill charges for the council?
How about cutting the verges less and using the money saved to continue this excellent service.
I don’t need the verges outside my house cut by the council more than once a year - and neither does local wildlife and biodiversity.
