Pupils from Isaac Newton Primary School got a lesson in making the perfect pizza when they visited Domino’s in Grantham.

The children were shown how to get to grips with the dough and make a perfect base. Then they added their dsauce, cheese and favourite toppings.

After making their pizzas, the children were awarded a junior pizza maker certificate. The children also learned how the business operates and were shown through each stage from taking an order to the pizza leaving the Bridge End Road store.

Issac Newton Primary School teacher Graham Almond said: “It was a real treat for the pupils to attend the Domino’s store tour. We really appreciate opportunities to take learning outside of the classroom and it is great to give the children a chance to find out more about the running of a franchised business such as Domino’s in a hands-on way. It was a fun, informative visit and they all really seemed to enjoy themselves.”

Zahid Rehman, Domino’s Area Manager, said: “As a local business, we’re keen to get involved with the local community. We were delighted to ‘lift the lid’ on what we do here at Domino’s and give the pupils of the Issac Newton Primary School the chance to try their hand as pizza makers for the day. The team in-store and I were very impressed with their dough stretching, saucing and cheesing skills!”
