AFTER reading the quite frankly bizarre letters by Anth Hindmarch and John Andrews on the subject of Margaret Thatcher in your letters column last week, I was all set to give them a pen-blasting.
However, after turning to the next page I discovered your new columnist – Alison Robson. Her column really did it for me.
What a pleasure to find a young lady with both education and common sense – she summed the subject up perfectly.
I just hope our council leaders have read it, take note of it, and do something about putting forward a statue or some other meaningful gesture.
As for the two gentlemen Hindmarch and Andrews, where did they hide during the Blair years? Do they have selective memories, or do they live in a world of their own?
