I am a mother of four children, three of which are still attending St Anne’s School on Harrowby Road.
I think it is about time the Highways Department at Lincolnshire County Council did something about Harrowby Road, before a child is killed.
I have witnessed on many occasions drivers ignoring the crossing patrol trying to keep people safe on that road.
As a result, even though I only live a 10-minute walk away from the school, I refuse to walk as it is not safe, choosing instead to take my car every day.
I believe a pelican crossing will be the only safe option, as a zebra crossing will simply be ignored by some irresponsible drivers - like they do on Bridge End Road, which is just as lethal to cross even with a zebra crossing in place.
