Grantham got on top after the break and deserved the equaliser scored by Jordan Smith midway through the half.
Despite the draw, Stocksbridge Park Steels closed the gap on Town to six points after they won 4-3 at home to Frickley Athletic. Kendal Town lost 1-0 at Whitby Town.
