An exhibition will give visitors to Lincolnshire Archives a chance to learn more about the county’s role in the story of flight.

Entitled ‘Wings over Lincolnshire’, the exhibition showcases the county’s rich aviation heritage. Running for just one day on Saturday, April 20, it includes official documents, photographs, maps, letters and booklets covering everything from the earliest pioneer aviators to the jet age.

Adrian Wilkinson, Collections Officer, said: “Lincolnshire’s importance in terms of aviation during war-time is well-known, but these connections stretch back to the earliest days of flying. This exhibition is an opportunity to trace that story through the years.”

The exhibition runs from 10.30am to 3pm at the archives on St Rumbold Street, Lincoln. Entry is free.
