Two separate planning applications to erect a total of three wind turbines near to Colsterworth have been submitted to South Kesteven District Council.
The first is for a turbine measuring 40m in tower height, and the second for two turbines measuring 32 metres from base to top of the tower, all sporting three blades.
It is proposed they be put up in a field to the north of Honey Pot Lane, off the A1 to the south of Grantham.
The plans state that the nearest residential property is 350m away and suggests the turbines can be situated elsewhere if this is deemed by the planning authority to be too close by.
Both applications state: “Once in place, the wind turbine will be operational for up to 30 years, after which all structures would be de-commissioned and removed, with minimal restoration of the site required in restoring its original state.”
