Ian Mihill’s article (Journal, February 15) confirms that the surest way for any organisation to neutralise opponents is to massage their egos by inviting them into their tent, there to immerse them in their culture to the point where they go native.
President Lyndon B. Johnson’s description of this tactic is more succinct but less printable.
