A man admitted stealing a blood pressure monitor from Asda in Grantham.
Christopher Jones of Shakespeare Avenue in Grantham also admitted stealing a bike from outside the same supermarket, stealing a pair of trainers from TK Maxx in Grantham and being in possession of cannabis.
He also admitted breaching a conditional discharge imposed after he admitted taking money from his wife’s bank account without her consent.
In interview, Jones told police he stole the trainers as he realised when he got to the till he did not have enough money to buy them.
Kate Hartley, prosecuting, said: “He said he was embarrassed and wanted to get out as quickly as possible.”
The case was adjourned until February 1 for pre-sentence reports. Jones was bailed on the condition he does not enter Asda or TK Maxx in Grantham.
