Belvoir Karate Group’s latest grading resulted in a 100 per cent success rate.
Held at Bottesford VC Hall on Sunday, students were examined by Sensei’s Graeme Walden and Ian Simpson and worked incredibly hard. They were tested on basic punches, kicks, combinations, kata and padwork.
There were students who were attending their first grading and some, more experienced, who were taking later belts.
Belvoir Karate chief instructor Graeme Walden said he was pleased with the result: “How lovely it is to see Belvoir’s junior students progressing through to the later belts, with Thomas Stokes gaining his brown belt.”
Belvoir Karate currently has clubs at Bottesford, Aslockton and Marston and welcomes any new members at any of the classes. Details of the group and its clubs can be found on its website at www.belvoirkarate.co.uk
