Several positions have been axed at a Grantham food processing plant.
Moy Park has confirmed that 17 management and administrative roles are to be lost in a restucturing process which aims to “streamline” the business.
Bosses say employees whose positions are for the chop have been consulted with and offered alternative posts elsewhere within the company. Consultations began in December and are due to be completed within the next few weeks.
A spokesman said: “The move is not the result of financial constraints. The reason for the change is to ensure Moy Park remains competitive within the marketplace. This will deliver a more streamlined structure for the business.”
She added: “Our aim remains to continue to successfully grow and develop our convenience foods business by having the most efficient operations of our kind in the UK and Europe.”
Moy Park employs 674 people permanently at the Grantham site.
