Cranwell high-fliers receive honours

Service and civilian high-fliers at RAF College Cranwell recently received honours and awards presented to them by the Commandant of the RAF College, Air Cdre David Stubbs.

The ceremony, which took place in the Rotunda at College Hall, was attended by families, friends and work colleagues of all those who were honoured.

First to receive his award was MACr Watt who received his Clasp to the Operational Service Medal Afghanistan. The Clasp is awarded for the Operational Service Medal to signify Service in a more dangerous area or period of conflict. Operational Service Medals with Clasp were then presented to Flt Lt Stewart, Flt Lt Baptiste, Flt Lt Martin, SAC Lister, SAC Briggs and Sqn Ldr Moran. Sqn Ldr Moran also received the Accumulated Service Medal II.

The next awards were Designated Unified Protector by NATO Medals for Service during Operation Ellamy presented to Sqn Ldr Boyle, Flt Lt Page, Flt Lt Hammond, FS Sprigg, FS Laughlin, Sgt Clemson and SAC Wilson.

The final award was the Air Officer Commanding Commendation No 2 Gp presented to Cpl James.
