Hounds and horses will gather in St Peter’s Hill in Grantham on Boxing Day for the annual Belvoir Hunt.
Hundreds of people are expected to gather on the green in front of the Guildhall to see the spectacle of the Duke of Rutland’s hounds and the many riders on their horses.
Traditionally the hunt, based at kennels at Belvoir Castle, is greeted by the Mayor of Grantham.
Horses and hounds will gather on the green at 11am.
Bambi Hornbuckle, hunt secretary, said: “Despite the ban, hunting is still thriving.”
Since the ban was introduced in 2005, hunts have been prohibited from using hounds to pursue foxes as well as other creatures including hare and mink. Hunts continue to hold theirtraditional meets, and use scented decoys to attract the hounds.
